Superheroine trend winter 2010

One of the most influential trends of this winter: The Superheroine. The style is defined with lots of leather and fur, vinyl and spandex, super high boots and gloves.

Gloves are always fit for photo's. In the shoots of Steven Meisel they are a regular pattern. Steven Meisel sets the standard for glamourous looks and he is one of fashions most influential characters as the photographer 'du maison' with the Italian Voque. This particular shoot is titled 'Majestic Haute Couture'. It's very well named because these photo's just breathe royal glamour.

Roeckl gloves collection summer 2009

Here's a little impression of the new summer collection of our favourite glove brand: Roeckl. It's our favourite because of the formidable quality you get for the price. Crafted with the typical German 'Gründlichkeit' and beautifully designed at that. Earlier one we wrote about the award-winning chiffon voile design (4th photo) that is part of this collection. The beautiful scarfs you see in the picture are also from Roeckl and crafted of a 100% silk.

We're not the biggest fans of Keira Knightley as an actrice and her performance in the sequel 'Pirates of the Caribbean' was awful at best. But we are fond of her photoshoots, especially the ones were she's wearing gloves. So we'll give her the one minute of fame on our blog. Just this one minute...
